Thanks, Fred.  I expect our petrol in Aus probably has great variances in line with our wider climate extremes.

Do they account for our Manchester goodness (AKA Rain)!!!

I'm really impressed with my Clubsport I was on 46mpg on a run down to Solihull from Manc the other day it dipped to a 44mpg overall after a quick blast from the M6 toll booths. 300bhp and 44 mpg is astonishing.

Overall from start I've averaged 36.9mpg according to We Connect and 35.4 calculated which I consider pretty good too and in line with an already well run previous Golf. I suspect this will increase over time with longer journeys again.

That’s cheaper than 10 years ago. I bet you’re earning more than you were then.

In real terms I’m earning far less now than then.
Hence I still give a stuff how much fuel costs!

I read it as it cost 141.90 pounds to fill up. Nearly fell off my chair..

My number presentation is nearly as bad as my grammar!
£1.419 (?) 141.9 ppl (?) or £1.42 rounded up which is easier to decipher
