Put a little pressure on the dealer and they came up with some answers for me, advised my car is due to be shipped within the next 3 days into sheerness and fingers crossed should be in the country by next Monday/Tuesday

That’s good news, and at least you now know there’s some sort of movement, fingers crossed, not long now. 🤞.

Got the phone call this morning to advise its now at status 40 and arrived in the UK, just got to be transported to the dealer now :)

He said its on their monthly targets to get it to me by the end of September, but its now in the hands of the transport company, so depends how quick it can get from Sheerness to the dealer :)

I popped in to our local dealer today to see if they had taken delivery of an 8.5 GTI.

I’m picking it up in 48hrs time. That was not the plan but there you go, some good deals out there right now.

Black with estorils.

New infotainment seems to be a vast improvement over the 8.

Looking forward to it.

Congrats, was it a southern dealership? i saw a black GTI with estorils as available on the VW website.. rang the dealer and they advised its not meant to be down as for sale as its a customers car :|
