Logic 850/950 immobiliser
« on: 27 February 2009, 22:06 »
Hi, i have one of these units fitted to my 98 Mk3 Gti. Both of the fobs have now died and i'm now having to put the fob in the slot every time in order to start the car. I know that the manufacturer is long gone and i really don't want to get involved with searching for second hand parts in order to cobble together something that might or might not work. So, my question to those in the know, or have had a similar situation is, do i need to get the entire system replaced, or are there other fobs that can be coded to work with the hardware on board now (very optimistic but you never know!) If i need to get it replaced any recommendations and/or advice about what to get fitted? Thnx.

Sounds to simple but have you changed the battery. Mine was like this and i managed to find a new battery on ebay, (type in conlog battery) failing that there was someone recently selling brand new full units with instructions etc for £30
