Title: Lo and wide? Audi wheels? Vw wheels?
Post by: zoomered on 04 January 2009, 18:03
Hi, Ive got a set of coilovers to fit to my Gti 8v and was waiting to either change my wheels or fit new tyres to the standard wheels before fitting them.

If i was to stick with the standard wheels, my question is how big spacers could i run easily with a good bit of lowering? What are people running??

If i change the wheels i wanna go for Vw or Audi. Any good pics to give me idea's on both a change of wheels or standard but spaced. Thanks

standard bolts for the wheels pal. They didnt appear to be any different anyway. That reminds me i could do with checking the adaptors for tightness.

Might be worth asking on ed38 as I am 95% sure that D90's need special bolts.

Cool, when are you aiming to get them on for? What have you done to the caps?

polished the caps, removed the crests (wasnt easy) repainted them by hand to a standard Porsche would be proud of, the wheels are getting shot blasted and refinished in house of colour paint.. got the adapters sat here, rubber on its way (yokohama) will get them on pretty soon, prob when weather gets better

just got the new lockers, the D90 has same fitment as Vag rims, i checked mine, a guy on ED38 said it was different but turns out in the end im right, :)
