clutch slippage and wierd noise. UPDATE
« on: 27 December 2011, 19:15 »
my clutch has started to slip......

it's not been in long so you can imagine i'm not amused.

i have noticed a dump valve type sound when changing gear
so will check i don't have anything going wrong.

ca is running very well at minute aswell. obviously too well.

i have a few items to eliminate

1. running winter tyres - temp quite warm so is the rubber too sticky?
2. Been using V power derv - revert to std
3. Remove Pipercross filter

if it doesn't stop will have to get the remap turned down ....again

GRRRRR

Mines always made the dumping noise, dont know why but its always made the power :undecided:

Winter tyres should be used in temperatures below 8c otherwise they will wear down quicker. Its a soft rubber anyway its how they grip on snow and ice.

Dont see the point in running v power, I never saw any difference apart from my wallet.
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

it's been spot on until couple days ago.

i swapped wheels to save my RC's from the salt. I hope it's just the super soft stcky winters
causing the problem.

I've been filling up with V power to save wait on a lunch time from work
the extra £2 to fill up saves the 3 car deep wait.
