Title: It had to happen sooner or later - NOW FIXED. hopefully.....

yes it had to happen sooner or later and it happened on the way to Ikea this morning. Car started making some strange noises which sounded like a clip / pipe had blown off but power wasn't severely reduced and then it went into limp mode. Managed to make it to Ikea and then phoned for recovery as when i re-srarted the car it made some noises i really didn't want to hear lol

Upon investigation the pipe that runs from the exhaust manifold to the EGR vale had developed a crack due to it not being being connected to anything after fitting the EGR delete pipe. So i'll be limping to work Monday morning and the pipe will be removed and blanked off properly. Didn't have time originally when fitting the EGR delete pipe.

Hopefully that will cure it and total cost for fixing will be £0 :smug: :smug:

Cue the abuse............

yes i ended up on the back of another recovery truck this morning :laugh: :laugh:

pipe blew clean off and nestled in my engine bay thankfully as that has the blanking plate i need!!

Hopefully fixed by tonight :lipsrsealed:

managed to fix it myself and Mr Dave put in a special guest appearance just as i finished :grin: :grin:

For those of you wanting that bad boy dump sound the easiest and cheapest solution is to cut a hole in your exhaust or manifold as this gives the desired effect (you do so at your own risk mind!)

these should be fine - they're not polyurethene - just uprated rubber like the dogbone mount
