Hi
How long from build in progress to car landing at dealership?
Thanks

Loads of variables... even in the past it could be 4 weeks or 6 months...
These days, possibly longer.

There is the suspicion VW are part building cars as much as possible to the point of needing the semiconductors then parking them up waiting on the parts. The tracker isn’t clever enough to show this level of detail so the car appears to be in build for a long time. No confirmation of this from VW but it makes sense from most angles if your a car maker.
99.99% of dealers are clueless and vw customer service as pretty useless so it’s difficult to get confirmation. There is one good dealer salesman on this forum who may have more info when it becomes available.

Factory accepted order for the gf's Tiguan on 10th December, so would assume order was placed some time before then. It left the factory last Wednesday.

That is quite a long time, I presume it’s a MK8 GTI - what other options did you go for?
