bloody squeek/squeel.....
« on: 19 October 2012, 19:50 »
my 89 cabby has developed a really annoying squeak from the nearside front brake.
when steering is straight its quiet but as soon as i put a bit of lock on it starts a small squeak that turns into a squeal when got foot down.car has recent discs/pads and calipers are free and not sticking.
the pads are wearing oddly though as if the caliper is at an angle.

i was wondering if the caliper slider bolts were worn and maybe letting the caliper sit wrongly ?
the other thought was the outer cv joint as its quite stiff to turn by hand unlike the drivers side, maybe dry bearings etc???
have just replaced the wheel bearing as well.
