Finally got my mk2 running again after replacing exhaust manifold :grin: many thanks to Leroy for the manifold, cheers mate, just need to fit exhaust,set up replaced gear linkage,weld in battery tray,bottom of wings and front valance, overhaul brakes..................please tell me it's all worth it....some one.... please :laugh:

Topped it up with screenwash, checked oil and coolant and was amazed at the amount of splatted bugs that had cause to be suicidal...  :laugh:

topped up oil, sprayed my vdub logo white, screenwash now gotta get the coilovers!.....

finished fittin new gearbox, clutch and gear selector need bleeding and adjusting but took it round the block and everythings fine well chuffed me vr6 is alive again :D

Stripped and sorted my drivers side electric window, polished the underside of the bonnet and fitted a vr6 front chin spoiler.

good rag down the a34,  thank fook the plod where on the northbound stopping some very nice motors off to a trackday  :laugh:

then down to guys, for a FAILED  waterpump change again.

No oil leaks, but lots of scrubbage  :grin:

also in the news... rescued the good lady driving my mk3 at the garage... central locking FAIL... couldn't open petrol flap  :angry:

got home.. cleaned both cars.. everything is ok in the world  :smiley:

Cleaned inside, outside and under the bonnet(and my Navara an my bro's Q7(he's using a work van for his moto x bike and lent it me again  :smiley:) so i'm pooped now after a BBQ and a few beers  :laugh:

Had 2 windscreen stone chips repaired, £35 for both :cool:

Replaced the speedo cable. I now know how easy it is to remove an intercooler.

The hunt for a front mount intercooler starts  :evil:
Passat B5.5 2.3 V5 170, with all the extras.

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.
