What am I buying next?...

Yesterday I put down a deposit for a Mercedes A45 AMG.
The deposit is fully refundable - as there is no official price or spec yet.  It just gets me a build slot.

I'm not entirely convinced by the look of the new A-series, but I think it'll grow on me.  I'm more interested in the 360bhp and 0-60 in 4.6 seconds!

I test drove an A200 yesterday just to get an idea of shape / size.  The overall size of the car is pretty similar to the Golf.  I was a bit concerned when the salesman showed me the boot as it looked considerably smaller than the Golf.  However - when I took it home and tried all my stuff - I think it's a similar volume -  just a different shape.  My golf clubs and my trolley seem to fit in better than tin my Golf - although I have to remove my driver and 1 iron as opposed to just my driver.  Obviously my Golf R has a smaller boot than a GTI... so I hope the A45 doesn't end up with a smaller boot than the A200.

Looking forward to some official information though...

Thanks for that.
Thats over £51,000!
I'm guessing that in Australia they make it much more expensive than ours, but with heaps of options as standard.
No way we're going to see things like Panoramic Roof and Harmon Kardon audio as standard.
Golf R... 3 door, DSG, Leather, Reflex Silver, Black 19" Talladega Wheels, ACC, Parking Sensors, RNS510 with Dynaudio, Reverse Camera, Luxury Pack, Cruise Control & Fiscon Bluetooth.

If you have ordered an m135i you won't be disappointed, I picked mine up last week and it's very very good, bargin of a car.

Get some pics up fella!!!

I will do pal I only have show room ones from when we picked it up, it's hanging now as I can't get out of it. I did 1000 miles in the first week. Hopefully I will get a chance to clean it on the weekend, and get some decent out door pictures.... Or in the dark it looks better the darker it gets

Don't think we ever saw some, did we?

In Aus they pay circa 20-30% more then then we do because of high import taxes.

So the Leon FR got handed down to a colleague yesterday and the new car was collected....

It's a lovely car, but first impressions are that its certainly not as much fun to drive as the Leon...and not in the same league as the Golf for fun factor...but then I am comparing apples with pears with the Gti.
