Rules.
1) Only one shot per person so choose wisely.
2) All shots must contain a VW and relate to the theme
3) All shots must be your own work
4) Photoshopery is allowed (But detail of what's been done included with submission)
5) A naked hottie will clearly win.
6) Details of equipement (Rig, Off camera flash etc) used should be submitted with entries.
7) Cut off date for entries is the last day of the month at 11:59pm.
All the above should help those voting judge the shots not only on their own merit but also allow those without any fancy gear a fair shot.
At the end of the month a poll will be set up to determine the winner. The winning person will recieve naff all apart from the warm fuzzy glow of being a better photographer for that month than anyone else, also thanks to a brill idea from Guy they get to chose the theme for a following month. So aprils winner choses Junes theme, May's winner chooses July's theme. May will be decided somehow but I'll leave you guessing for now.

I only have Elements so you can all stop your moaning! Anyway Photoshop can't make a crap picture good and some of my fave shots I've taken have had little to no PS work done on them.

Cracking idea. I'm going to join in, despite only having a compact camera. (I'm just like an F1 driver, get the excuses in first...)
Just make sure none of you bigger boys with fancy pants cameras and scaffolding hanging off the side of their car laugh at my attempts!

Well I bowed down to general consensus. Also this is Dub related whereas the earlier suggestions were just for pictures of anything.
As for a bias towards PS then I would hope not but there's just no pleasing some people!

You think those shots you see from the 60's and 70's havent been manipulated? The difference is in those days they used different chemicals,little tools, multiple exposures on one film, fliters on lenses etc etc. Photoshop does very little that you couldn't do before only you need a pc/mac and not a fapping great darkroom.
It's not trickery it's a tool like the darkroom was before it. I said above photoshop can't fix bad composition or stuff being out focus, that is down to the person in control of the camera. What it can do is pep up colours from a flat day and add a few effects. Big deal.

Before this turns into a full on debate about photography and photoshopping, can I just suggest one thing:
There will be a vote / pole at the end of each month - if an image is heavily photoshopped, and therefore not to your particular taste - dont vote for it. If enough people feel this way, then a heavily photoshopped image wont win will it? Equally, this works the other way around.
Seems all the fun is being sapped before we begin gentlemen :huh: I only wanted to play along to learn a little about photography and enjoy looking at our cars.

All digital images need sharpening post camera as they are soft due to something horribly technical I'm not going to go into. Compacts sharpen stuffbefore commiting it to the card whereas DSLRS let you set the level of sharpening in the camera or you do it in PS afterwards.
And yes someone needs to post a pic.

Im gonna put one of mine in. Only shot with a samsung NV8 compact cam on auto mode lol, and theres no photoshopping done! :laugh:

Think of things that spring conjours up in your mind. Bunnies (not playboy ones!), hot cross buns, spring flowers, blossom on trees etc etc.

As i suggested this idea and it seems to be in action would like to put my view across that it would be better if no photoshop used so no advantage to anyone.....works best on other forums :D
