GTI Build Dates - Anyone got one yet?

What!!!  I ordered back in March & have I received any vouchers??? "HELL NO!"

I want my "Vouchers!" And I want them NOW!!! 

(There's probably a delay with the vouchers, just like with my bleedin order)

I have just checked my Build Week status with my dealer after noticing some Build Week 35's being confirmed, even though I was Build Week 34 Unconfirmed.  I have now been told I am moved back to Build Week 36.  This is all starting to grate on my patience. I am usually very patient.  But the case of uncertainty followed by disappointment of further delays just kills all excitement I first had. 

When did you place your order?  I've been waiting since mid April and some even longer.... 

I placed my order end of March.  It is getting way beyond a joke now.  I have seen so many other people I know getting their cars not long after ordering, all during the time I am waiting for mine. 

Also I had better have my Reversing Camera fitted, as I have waited so long, and to get not quite what you order after waiting as long as we all have is like receiving a defective xmas present after the long wait for xmas

• I am now BW36 (unconfirmed).  Already knew it was 36 or later.  Dealer sounds confident of end of September delivery.  Don't know if I should believe it.

Still seems unreal that you and others are still waiting just for a confirmed build date Bill!

End of September seems optimistic when I'm confirmed week 33 and my dealer recons I won't get mine until mid September. Either mine is overly cautious or yours is very optimistic / telling porkies 

I guess it wouldn't be quite as bad (use that term loosly) if you at least have it confirmed. Then chance how far away it is (within a reasonable time period) at least you know its set in stone for that time!

On the subject of these vouchers it certainly wouldn't cheer me up if I was in that position. Especially if I had a rear view camera on order and one of the vouchers that turns up is "good for one free rear view camera"  (too soon?)

I'm week 33 too and my dealer is quite confident about a Sept 1st handover. Perhaps yours is looking at worst case scenario for shipping i.e. it gets to Emden via the train within 24 hours of factory release but then sits dockside for 2 weeks at the Emden end and another week at the UK end. My dealer did pull out all the stops for my dad's when it arrived in Tyne Dock, but I don't think he'll have time to give me that treatment if it lands in the UK at the end of August.

Is it a tease or a piss take if I mention that today I done the pre delivery inspection for 2, 3 door black gti's
