1.8t Bora Estate
« on: 15 April 2013, 18:49 »
So I have a 1600 estate, and I also have a 1.8t Bora and I'm wanting to transplant the best bits off the Bora onto the estate. The bora has all the bells and whistles, heated leather parking sensors, climate control etc, I'm also planning on swapping engines as well. Question is, is it going to be a complete transfer of looms and everything or does the estate have any common wiring?

i would imagine you'll need both parts of the engine loom, ecu/clocks/keys. There may be some hidden delights when you get to the loom for the clocks, and door modules/ccm if you need to go that far, but it should still run so you can figure the niggles out as you go.

Is it going  to be the same for wiring in heated seats and climate control?

Sorry for dragging this from the depths but the more I think about it the more concerned I get, how much of a pain is swapping the engine going to be? At the minute I'm actually losing sleep at the thought of doing it....
