Title: Mk 4 1.8T gear box

My super trusty golf let me down this morning, can select 1st or 2nd ( well nothing there ) but can use  reverse, 3rd 4th 5th and 6th?
Is this know fault? Help lol

Mine did that. Then the gearbox shattered about 200 metres later. Probably best not to drive it - good luck!

It drives fine, just pain in the bum
