DTUK VS TDI Tuning
« on: 21 June 2019, 23:00 »
Looking to get a box for my 7.5 gtd.

I have had a dtuk box before on my A4.

Just looking to see if anyone is running a Tdi Tuning one? As seems to be extremely popular and growing in popularity in other brands anyway .’

Thanks

My first box was a TDI Tuning box on my MK7 GTD. The car ran like a bag of hammers - mpg down 20%, lots of regenning and put your foot down in3rd at 60mph and you'd experience wheelspin. Brutal and unrefined power developed by massive overfuelling at all throttle loads. When I sent it back for a fix, they just reduced the box settings down to the point that it was ineffective. I got my money back.

The GTD was brand new out then, so I'd hope they've improved it since.

My DTUK box was great by comparison - ran like stock +25%. It pulled in 6th like stock does in 4th.

I don't have a diesel now, but DTUK over TDI Tuning any day of the week!
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

Agreed, can't go wrong with the dtuk. Also recommend the pedal box, makes the car feel so much more responsive. I've run the dtuk box on my gtd Mk7 for 40k miles, and the pedal box for 30k miles. Totally transforms the car.

On that note, will be posting this week in the for sale section as I am selling my dtuk box and pedal box, as I'm finally saying goodbye to the gtd (5 years old now), so you would be welcome to them if you want to save some money (box is the crd2+ and not the crd3+).
