Hi guys. I just wanted to ask a few n00b questions about a coolant flush on my car (1999 MK4 Golf 1.8 20vt, AGU lump).
I've bought 2 bottles of G12++ so 3 litres in total.
How much liquid does the coolant system generally hold?
Secondly... how much G12 to water should I realistically use? The guide on here says both bottles so 3L then just top up with water... but how do I know if I've used too much G12 if you get me. The G12 bottles say 2:3 ratio (G12 to water) for down to -24 deg C protection... Just wanna make sure it's done perfectly so I can top it up the same if I mix some in an old cleaned out coolant bottle etc.
Thirdly... I've got some de-ionized water from Asda, car plan branded.. it says for use in batteries, irons etc.. is it fine for this job too or do I need to use tap water or some other form of filtered water? lol
I have 3 litres of it.
Cheers guys.
