EXCITED !! PICKING UP MY NEW VR6, WOOP

Evening people....

Managed to blag myself a tidy vr6 highline this evening, gotta pick it up in a few hours.... 1995, 140 k full history, lowered, alloys, induction kit....

I currently have a 1.4 but gti look alike, thats lowered, 17" alloys, exhaust, full colour collection interior but way too slow, gonna sell my 1.4 so if any body wants a nice looking golf with a brand new mot and 5 months tax then keep eyes peeled in for sale section...

WIll post pics up tomoz n stuff of new car and prob be on looking for some help, no doubt a 15 yr old car is gonna need summit doing to it lol...

Mate like you wouldnt beleave... Driving around in this 1.4 for the last 4 weeks has been the slowest days of my life lol, ive never driven such a slow car ive always had sri's gsi etc...

One thing i aint looking forward to is putting fuel init lol, any body own one to tell me the average mpg ?? Also any thing i should be looking for when i go see it ?? any common faults to looks for ?

hi m8, i have one myself taking it easy i get up to 34mpg but when you start booting it you'll see it drop to around 25s which is not bad for a high performance car but on avergage i get 30  :smiley:, check if the chains were changed they usually need attention to over 100,000 miles so I have been told gud luk anyway get some piks up if you buy!

Yer im a mechanic so i have half a idea of what to look for but you guys who own them will know there faults, not bad thou i offered £550 over the phone and after some 20 minz we agreed..

I thought it should have leather init, but apparantly it's got the recaro seats init ?? Any ideas  :rolleyes:

My Mulberry Highline had matching heated leather interior which a lot of people don't like so it could possibly have been swapped for Recaros

Like a purple/black kinda colour... I thought they had black leather ?? Mind you i could use my colour collection black/blue seats in there...

Purple had purple leather, theres also black. The only two colours available!
