Don't know mate

i fitted a new N75 valve, and i think the car is now holding boost better, anyhow i popped the hose and upon refitting it i found this damage.. could have been like this a while ?

i am going to get this full piece made up in Aluminium tubing now i have the exact pattern of the route of piping, its the hot side that joins the intercooler to the charge pipe

Hmm.  That could be where the missing boost went. Wonder if this would have affected the mapping ? I had a similar issue withy map, when done with leaks.

Looks like something could have worn through it.  :undecided:

yeas it sits close to part of the front panel, could well be where issues have been.

Paint job scores 10 points no damage at all !! :-)

Right can anybody put the grooved edges on aluminum pipe for me? It's for my replacement pipe work, I will get the pipe work and have it made up. Would just need the raised edges ? I know somebody on here had a machine to do it ?

Changing to ally will aid heat dissipation slightly before the cooler too. May be worth looking into getting a little more airflow around the bay though because of this. Only minor differences but you are chasing ponies and every little helps

As stated, its called beading. There are machines/hand tools that do it by rolling the inside of the pipe for not alot of monies. Failing that a local fabrication shop will have tig/mig and should be able to run a run of weld around it for pennies. There is also a few ways of creating a DIY tool which are fairly simple but knowing your craving for 'perfection' this route may give too much of a backyard finish to the job.

here is diy
