car keeps dieing on me! i have used the search

hi all, this is a funny one, i have a look on the search but cant find out. but im having alot of problems with my 1.8 16v. i fine it hard to make it idol, sometime it works some times it doesnt, also when im driving and stop at the lights or junction the engine dies on me! really anoyes me, what can be causing this?

try disconnecting the plug to the over-run cut-off valve, its the big black plastic thing behind the inlet

There is a small plastic grey or black thing behind the airbox with 2 pipes goin to it and an electrical connection. First check that one of the pipes hasn't come off then as RJ said try disconnecting the plug and see if that makes a difference.
