Handbrake light

Trying to get the parking break light to work on the dash, bulbs fine. Anyone know how these little rascals work?????

There is a small switch, similar to your interior light door switch, down underneath the handbrake itself. The lever sits on the switch to open the circuit and switch the light off. If you pull your lever up, you should see it easily. The wire has probably come off.

It comes from having owned Mk1 Golf's for the last 17 years, ever since I was 18. In that time I have stripped many down to bare shells etc., eventually you can't help but to get to know the in's and out's.

I've seen his garage, its ful of car parts and a lovely golf...  Believe me when I say he seems to have every tool avalible, maybe you should use thoes tools to finish the Conservatory Rich, then you might be able to get that MK1 golf without Hazel saying anything... ;)
