Headunit cutting out
« on: 19 January 2009, 13:45 »
Ok ive swapped the cables round in the HU now so they all seem right, the headunit works but sometimes and only sometimes (like once on my 12mile journey yesterady) the headunit cuts out when i indicate, often it will come back on but sometimes it will stay lit or just go off and wont turn back on till i remove the front then put it back on

Baffled!

I had something similar when my alternator wasn't working, check your belt and alternator.

hi matey,

i have sim probs, could be caused by over heating poor earth or it could be speakers connected rong way round double check em. or it could be that the speakers are too powerfull for the HU. check the watts (RMS) not total. you can get away with the speakers going over by 10Watts.
