Yep plenty of after market DSG shifters available for a lot less than the S2T's - no need to spend that kind of money.  But it's a bit I look at and touch every time I drive the car, and given I just spent £31k on that, figured a couple of hundred quid on the best you can get was worthwhile.

That's for certain, absolutely love the set of S2T B3 I installed shortly after getting my mk7.
The overall feel and finish fits in so well with the rest of the interior. Subtle and clean..

Pads and discs all round.

The larger discs ain’t cheap even getting them from a mate who works at a factor.

Changed the oil, which required a special tool to release the plastic sump plug and do it back up again.

A 20 pence piece. Just the job.

Setting off on a road trip.

4000 miles there and back with some sight seeing along the way.

The Clubsport S is staying at home and I’m taking the McLaren.

Sounds fun! 4000 miles? I bet most McLarens don't manage that in a year!

Cornwall to Amalfi via Germany and Switzerland. And a few detours en route. N’Ring, Goldfinger pass,Lake Como, Florence etc etc.

My view is there’s no point having the car if I don’t drive it.
