nope same car that got hit but a uninsured driver, there just saying that because it's a uninsured driver their taking away the rental, but because I don't wanna use their "approved" body shop the car won't be picked up until the assessor has been to see it, and because I'm using a top notch Vw (merc, tesla 😮) approved body shop they will give me a courtesy car anyhow, so not really worried

Aahh, i'm with you now. It was the bit where you said you were no longer entitled. I'd wrongly assumed you already had one and they were taking it off you.

That's great if your preferred body shop will sort you out, but shame about the cracked screen nonetheless.

Took it in for its 2nd service.  Went it in one piece, came out the same plus a few fingermarks on wheels.  All good.

So windscreen man came, first words were "we got a problem" 😂😂😂 wrong glass, as it turns out my car and options are too new and they don't have any in stock anywhere (a pattern part is not made yet), so they'll have to get a VW one, then he had to find out what calibration the camera needs, two types for that, one is drive round the block and it calibrates itself the other needs calibrate in the depot which can cost £350 extra if the insurance doesn't cover it, so mine is go to the depot, but my insurance does cover that, phew,
