Asking your approval *after* taking delivery could be a risky thing - you might just wrinkle your nose and give it that look of distaste! 😁

It has been known to happen! :)

Had my year four service carried out yesterday at my dealers.

Slight panic with the turn of weather but managed to get there otherwise it would have been over a month’s delay to rebook.

I have a service plan so everything was covered bar the MoT which they only seem to have charged my £39 for plus at my last visit just over a month ago they said I had only 20% of the front pads left so I had them replaced at the same time, total of £424.

My year four service was a mayor service and also included change of plugs, air filter and cabin filter – all recorded in the very comprehensive service breakdown I got.

My dealer tends not to print anything out so all of the ‘paper’ work was sent to me including my updated service record which does show that I had the VAQ serviced last year which I’m pleased about.

I was about to change all four tyres but the inspection report says I still have 4mm on each front tyre and 5mm on the rear (all the same age PS4’s) so I might leave it a tad longer.

Noted that my rear pads are 50% worn.

The only amber was to do with the battery in my key fob which they wanted £6.50 to change, obviously I politely said ‘no’ as I had batteries at home.

Al-in-all very easy day plus I had a T-Roc as a loan car… way too high up for me.

Gave it a wash and a clean outside as a spilt capri-sun was annoying me, also hosed off underneath and spray Bilt Hamber Atom-mac @ 5% round the suspension to neutralise some of the road salt.

Finally got around to replacing the seal on the rear speakers which was causing water build up on the sills. This is how badly the seal was on both speakers

Fitted some Auto Clover Wind deflectors to stop getting wet every time I use the wipers or go around a corner with the windows open with water beaded on the roof.

They stick on, so no wind noise like from the ones that go into the groove and they do not touch the mirrors when folded.

*PIC*

I seem to get a tiny bit of white mould on the rear seats and condensation on the inside of the windscreen (nightmare when it freezes, might eventually get a car that doesn't get ice on the inside!). I assume the speaker surround is the most common/first place to check as I've heard it mentioned quite a few times with leaks
