No, not cheap - I needed another set anyway as my cheap Chinese replica ones on the winter wheels have corroded/discoloured

Ordered some Clubsport wheel caps - should be a nice touch to go with my Red GTD and the black of the 18" Nogaro

I'm thinking about those too, they just seem a bit pricey. May see if my local dealer can order them and save the delivery cost.

On a different note, I was briefly in convoy today with another 3 door GTI PP, first I've seen in ages too!

Might be worth getting a small bit of clear wrap from an ebayer for a couple of quid for those caps - if the foils corrode on the VW logo, they're not a warranty item (and they usually don't last 3 years unprotected).

Why would they not be covered by the warranty?

I had a couple of centre caps replaced under warranty on my previous car (mk6 GTD).

I'm sure they brought out new updated caps a few years ago that now don't corrode.

Think the point is that if you put some on that are clearly not the originals, and they corrode, then you are on your own. Thought about continuing the red accent thing on mine, but, after the PP badges they are not cheap. Still......

  Because you didn't get them with the car and they were bought from a third party, if you get these CS caps from the link given.

Not sure how much they are from VW but it might be worthwhile for peace of mind for anyone to buy direct.
