Why a bloody wait for a new one??

Hi all,

Just bought a new GTi but have to wait upto 5 months 

May have been covered else where but anyone aware why VW take so bloody long to build or is it to keep it in demand??

Probably as they are too busy churning out the lower Golf models, they only allocate a few GTI's to go to production every now and then.

Yeah been that way from the start, very popular car.

What sort of spec did you go for ?

5 dr....got kids to fit in :-( , Carbon grey with leather and rear parking sensors. Wanted the Sat Nav console but at £1700 my accountant said no!

Add it later when you get the car for £500 like most have done. Its a great addition

Thanks, I'll speak to the dealer and maybe get in when delivered.....i feel I'll have a big list for him by the time it comes.

At £500 that's second hand not from the dealer but still comes with a warranty.
There is a group buy on just now.

Hey thanks again for the link. Would you know of anyone in the Southeast (Essex area) who would fit such items? I'd rather have a good job done rather than me butcher it....n gaffer tape isn't a good look

No sorry. But it's really childs play.
Have a look in the maintenance + info section of the MK6 section for a how to. Literally a 10 minute job, if that!!
