Just received a recall notice from VW stating :-
Safety Action - Golf 2010 Diesel Injection Pipe.
'On vehicles with a 2ltr TDI common rail engine of a certain production period, resonances in certain operating conditions could over the long term cause cracks on a Diesel injection pipe.'
Goes on to say that its unlikely, but in extreme circumstances fuel could leak from the crack.... No instances of failure have been reported so this is just precautionary.
No mention of what the 'certain production period' is though and it would appear to apply to all 2 ltr TDI common rail engines??
No recall here yet, Apr 2010 built.
