This seems something like aqua coat from auto finesse which I use after each wash. I find it keeps protection topped up and aids with drying.

It is quite popular here.  But at the same time there’s many other options and it’s all a matter of preference.  For me, a nano coating can never match the finish of a good wax on a dark car, and there are plenty of waxes that give comparable hydrohobic benefits so I choose that form of protection.  Sure it’s a tiny bit more involved to apply and there’s a buffing off stage so a swirl risk, but that’s where a very gentle technique comes in.  We are lucky there is such choice.

Yes you are right, a nice wax is the best :).

I have used a lot of "wax it wet" products. But think you have to wipe the car pretty hard to get it nice. So i like this new more

This is horrible.

Not tried that.  What was wrong with it?  I do like Sonax BSD (Brilliant Shine Detailer) but on wheels rather than my paint. It’s not a ‘wet’ product, just a polymer sealant but it is a breeze to apply and buff off, easier than Gtechniq C2v3.

It dry very fast, and after that is pretty hard to buff off. You have to a very little area at the time...
