MOT fail.....sereously???

a friend told me, that his friend had a very twitty MOT tester. he told him;

 "you're lucky i passed you mate, having the air freshner hanging off the rear view mirror like that is an instant fail but i'll let you off this time"

is he effing sereous?

i understand the reasoning - but would anyone actually fail it, knowing they will have to do a "re-test" a minute later when you've pulled it off? :shocked:

Yes, I know of 2 people having failed the mot for it. :smiley:
