snow foam
« on: 27 February 2009, 17:54 »
Hi guys

I have bought snow foam and foam lance but cant seem to get the results seen on here. The lance i have is a Gilmour Foamaster II Foam Gun, but it doesnt seem to connect to my pressure washer so i connect it to a hose.  the foam doesnt seem to stick to the car and looks more like bubbles than the smooth foam that covers the whole car. I put about 1" snow foam into bottle on lance and fill rest up with water.

Hose, as in just connected to a tap? There's never going to be enough pressure from that.

If you're not happy with it then return it. What's your pressure washer? as you have one, get a lance that fits.

cheers for the link. think i will sell the foam master and try to buy a lance for the pressure washer.

Not sure what make the pressure washer is it stays at work, i bought it from b&q so will prob find it hard to get a lance that fits it.

Commiserations mate! I made the gilmour mistake too. Everyone raved about them and I get far far better results from the foam lance.
Check out www.autobritedirect.co.uk and they do HD foam lances for £38.50 from memory and you WILL get foam from that!
Put the Gilmour on eBay or try to return it.
