Has your dad had a severe bump on the head?   I could understand going from the Kia to the BMW but the other way around......madness!!

Audi S3 - will be replaced in the next 12 months with a newer model.......

Not really. If he wanted a crossover type vehicle, the Kia with all it's kit and 7 year warranty make much more sense than an X3.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

I agree. The kit on the kia is unbelievable. Basically it has everything on this particular model you can think of. The only option he had to spec was metallic paint. The car with metallic paint worked out circa 28k and he negotiated the price down th 26k. He can also have the car in 2 weeks as they have one on the boat comming over from Slovakia where they are made.

My dad fully appreciates it’s not the quality of BMW but just fancied a change and his seems to fit the bill. I will be interested to have a drive of it myself.

Understood. However, I wouldn't be able to afford the new S3 with this sort of spec tbo. I won't pay more than 25k for a car.

Been looking at Golf R's & Rocco R's can pick them up with pretty low mileage for between 21k & 25k

Not too sure how the S3 rides however I had a A3 sport and you had a lot of hard crashing in the cabin. Back seat drivers were forever complaining how uncofortable it was. I noticed a huge jump in ride quality with the GTI.
Have you had a test drive ?

No not had a test drive as yet. Thanks for the heads up regard ride quality, this is something I will look out for. The S3's don't use runflat tyres do they?
