I specced up a 125i earlier, just over 30k for a prety much fully loaded one, i know it's not the straight six beast that the 135i is but it's still quite a lot of car, looks ace in that Estoril blue.

Yeah, faster than the GTI too.

If I get an M135i Estoril Blue is what I will be getting for sure.

Love the Sports Display showing torque and power output in real-time

You can guarantee that'll be an optional extra.

We've got the BMW sat nav thing on our lass's 123 cab. It p****s all over my RNS510 which is getting slower by the week. And the iDrive thing is good too once you get the hang of it - easier to use on the go than the touch screen of the 510. It doesn't do the rev/torque thing though - bit pointless in a diseasel!!!

I have to say the new 1 series isn't that bad looking in the flesh in my opinion. Certainly better than the previous one but still not as nice looking as a Mk6 GTi/R. However, I've constantly said £30k for a Golf is stupid money which is why the Mk7 GTi will become increasingly rare I would imagine. Especially when it has competition like that 135.

Does the BMW sat nav play DVD's? I know there's two types, the business one and the cheaper one but whats the difference?

This is turning into the "which BMW shall i buy?" thread..

Yes the professional one plays DVDs obviously not on the move unless you go on ebey.

Have a listen to the harmon kardon pro logic 7, it sounds unreal especially with live stuff and great having surround sound if your watching a film..... In your car, mad world!

The newer 3d satnav is brill showing valleys and buildings even has google earth images.

The programable hot keys are a top idea too.

Yeah, part of the Sat Nav unit no doubt.  Looking forward to it appearing on their configurator. Nothing there at the moment.

Jim

You can configure it now, try not to make the keyboard too sticky!

I'm now considering a Passat Alltrack.

Just seen the expected residuals for theses. Also looking at the prices of nearly new Passat estates, it would be nuts to buy a new one.

I can't say there's any new car that I "want", so maybe I'll stick with what I've got and when the time comes, get a GTI ED40.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

You gotta love the fact that one of the longest running threads on this section is all about getting rid of your mk6. We're a spoilt bunch aren't we!
