The big downer for me would be traction .. or lack of it.  (Read EVO's long term test of the 1M Coupe)

The second is the looks, but that's subjective.

Good price though ... let's hope that keeps the whole hot hatch sector prices low.

Yeah traction could be an issue, Ill feedback when I test drive it. I'll also want to see a few more detailed test drives from the mags to see what the 'pros' think.

hmm not really. i liked the driving position/interior as the dash and door cards seem to wrap around the driver more.

the driving position is very low, far back and steering wheel has loads of rake adjustment (ideal for me 6ft 4)

i wish the GTI had about 1" more steering wheel rake adjustment

I went to my bmw dealers yesterday and they had one in, with better looking wheels, same blue, exactly the same interior, then i went round the back and it said 118d. Put me right off that someone can get the same looking car for less. Anyway i have to admit it looked good but i think a lot of that was showroom gloss etc and not being enough room to be able to look round at its ugly profile, front and rear.

I'm wondering if the looks will grow on us like the Bangle designed cars eventually did.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.
