After reading a bit more - it looks like sports differential may not be available on the new A3. If they do have it as an option it will likely only be available on the S3 and RS3.

A Mercedes C63 AMG Saloon. ha ha

Wonder what there like in the snow, that would put me off one.

Thee was a company doing them for £500 a month for two years, but I like my front door where it is rather than on the floor.

Is this going to be the standard craic for you southern fairies?
It must be nice to have such clement weather all year round, and such fine Councils, so adept at clearing the few flakes of snow you do se, that bad weather is not a consideration for you chaps at Carbon.

Sadly, for those of us north of such utopian lands, it's a very real consideration.

If my house and dinner depended open my car moving in the snow I personally would buy a jeep of some form not a front drive hatch with 225 tyres, can't be that bad.

It's so crap down here we don't get snow, we are very unlucky.

I was talking to a mate who had contract hired an E class. His 2 year deal ended a few weeks back and they tried to hit him with a bill of nearly £3000 for damage. Now considering the car was 2 years old and had done 25,000 miles, the damage was a few stone chips and couple of tiny scratches that would have almost polished out and a mark on one of the wheels inflicted by tyre fitters. It seems the go over the cars like a concours judge and pick up every imperfection, even those that could well have been there from new.

The bloke did manage to argue them down to about £1500, but even so, you really do need to make sure you know what you may be in for when signing up for one of these deals.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

So with the same rational, you would not knowingly buy a RWD car that you know will end up beached on the driveway?
Like, say...a BMW with wide rear tyres?
A car that is known to be utterly useless in snow?
