BMWs do that to me too.

Just had one of those M3's come up behind me tonight but a white one. Glad he eventually braked.  He was busy talking on his phone and driving at 100mph+

Sales rep?!?!?

PS. Only Jealous!  Quite fancy a second hand M5 if my miles were less each year.

I will replace my GTI with the Mk7 version.
But I also hanker after a convertible sports car. So I am considering buying a Porsche Boxster at some stage. It will probably be the S. However, having driven the basic version last week, it seems a bit sweeter, though not as fast.
All this is dependent on finding a garage close to home.

Put it in a secure car garage. The new car is in professional car storage - CCTV everywhere, dehumidified, £20 a week. Insurance worked out real nice for it. She has done 106 miles now but I'm keeping her under 4000rpm for the first 2k miles. I know I don't have to but she is a keeper. I remember the GTI at the same age. They do grow up fast.

Thanks Alex. I'll certainly consider secure storage options.

I went to see two mk2 GTIs at the weekend one was good body and interior wise but had an idle problem, some electrical problems, blower motor noise  and its MFA did not work. The other one was very good as everything worked just not quite as good interior wise as the other one. I put an offer in of £1200 on the very good one but the owner of the other one has contacted me since and said make him a silly offer so i may endup with two if i can decide what a silly offer is without offending him!
Also been to see an MG ZR that i may use over the winter months.
At this rate im going to end up with 3 more cars
