Gave it another clean today, I still need to do the windows because the Done & Dusted isn't the best on glass.

Looks superb in the sun.  Gorgeous!

Thanks, but looking at yours makes mine look dirty.

Yours looks incredible, be proud.

Serious question now, do you give insi :laugh:de the filler cap a thorough going over? I was eyeing it up the other day for a go with some trim cleaner but thought perhaps that's going too far? I do give it a wipe over and dry so it's fairly tidy in there.

I clean mine. Can you go too far?

Yes of course the filler cap gets attention, it goes without saying.   Aerospace 303 is its friend.

Oh dear! I should've just done it and not asked :embarrassed: I'm not sure I'm up to all this detailing malarkiness :undecided:

If you dont mind me saying the reflective qualities of your bodywork are truly amazing!!  looks fantastic........I tried PA lance yesterday along with 2 bucket clean for first time, not only do my foaming skills need serious improvement but remembering to go to the right bucket when was also challenging....yes I know there's only 2

Thanks very much.

You'll soon get the hang of it, and lances are funny things and often need slight tweaks to the lance adjustment each time you use it so don't worry if you are finding that as it's quite normal.  Lol, yeah the buckets - very easy to mix them up once you've rinsed the mitt a few times and they both have suds!  But you are not alone in that, that's why you can buy buckets labelled Wash and Rinse. Just get a big permanent marker pen and label them up.

But you did ask.  Why the embarrassment? I'm only teasing. I do the filler cap by hand along with the bodywork with wash mitt, them dry off as we all know its one of the much loved water traps, then it gets a lick of dressing (303) just to restore the colour.  Any decent rubber treatment is good for it, or just give it a wipe out with a damp cloth.  How far you go is up to you.

+1 for cleaning inside the filler cap each time I wash my car. As my Polo has the hard black plastic wheel arch liners (not the carpet type) inside the rear arches as well as the front, all the arch liners also get a good clean each time the car gets cleaned.

Ha, ha! But I can see the wheel arch liners and if the bodywork's clean and shiny, the OCD in me isn't happy to leave the plastic liners covered in road dirt .

Yep arch liners constitute part of the weekly/fortnightly wash. If it can be reached, wash it!

^^ Those reflections are so sharp, beautiful! So, how far down the exhaust do you clean? (Imagining you with a 6' long flexible pad with metal polish on....)  I've really got to step it up a level....or three.

Hi Booth11, your car looks amazing! Which pre wash snow foam do you use first?

I clean mine. Can you go too far?

Depends what your definition of clean is
