CHEERS,
JAMES.

Umm i havent myself but i think Dizzies done a dash swap, ask him
-
thers a dash going cheap.
ill PM you with the link
-
dizzie is gonna love this thread ;) :D

Cheers Blue but I already have the dash and all switches, clocks etc.
I fit Intruder alarms for a living and the local breakers want one fitting so I am taking the dash as part payment.
I also need to know if I have to change the clocks or if I can keep the MK2 ones so as I can keep the milage accurate.
Cheers again,
James.

which year mk2? I'm heard the '90 spec ones you can just plug the mk3's clocks straight in and with a speed sensor in the gearbox the speedo comes to life. Take it to vw and they should be able to plug their kit in and change the mileage. so I've heard.
Anything else you want to know about the swap just holla. ;D
btw, the mk3 stalks are a direct swap on a '90 spec mk2 too. if you're isn't '90 spec you'll need to get the ignition surround if you want to use the mk3 stalks.

Hi Dizzie
I have already done the stalks and I fear that this is as easy as it gets.
I just want to know how easy (or hard it is) to do the actual swap and what other parts I need to carry it out apart from the dash and switches.
I have read about changing the heater box, steering column and wiring loom.
Is this correct?
Thanks in advance,
James.
