Title: spraying stuff

got some big bumpers to put on my 1300. i want to colour code them and my mate is lending me a compressor and spray gun but i've been told you need special thinners to do it like this. shoud i do it this way or just use aerosole? and body know the process of mixing the paint with the thinners?

Practise practise practise, thats the way to work out how much thinners you need.
Or find a paint mixing shop in yellow pages and ask them to make it up for you ready to spray. They may even be able to some in an aerosol as well for those days when you can't be bothered to get the compressor out. Whatever you do though, do not start spraying your bumpers until you've mastered the art. Get an old door from a scrappy to practise on until you can apply without leaving the dreaded orangepeel effect

know a few painters and decorators. they use white spirit in some paints to thin it out. not sure about car paint though.

the paint has to be thinner to pass through the spray nozzle i guess?
