Title: Iphone Integration
Post by: edition_30 on 23 April 2009, 18:22

Has anybody found a viable solution for their iphone.. im currently using the standard iPod connection which is ok but I can take call & it doesn't charge my iphone... I have been looking at the dension gateway 300 but that will do everything apart from answer my calls...

Just want to know if anybody else has managed to come up with a complete intergration for both calls & music

But does the parrot charge the iphone aswell? i used to have an alpine head unit in my old car that wouldnt charge or play music of my iphone but would my ipod. Seeing as the iphone could possibly the sh!test for battery life, they also seem to be really fussy about they will sync with. would be nice to see a head unit that could charge and play music of the phone. Calls would be a bonus too.

Am i asking for far too much?

i think so

3 outputs mean that if you're connecting an amp and sub, there headunit has dedicated outputs on the back, one for the front speakers, one for the rear speakers and one for the subwoofer, usually meaning that adjusting speakers is much easier as most can be done from the headunit itself.

Very handy for the sub as you can easily up the bass on the go without having to adjust the amp.

As said, the 9880R will do this, but you'll need to buy another add on for the bluetooth, haven't used it myself as I don't have the add on though, but been told it's wicked.

No they can be powered by the HU but I would get an amp to power any new speakers you put in.

Yeah man, I can't stress enough how good it is. 2 of my friends got as does someone I know from Taunton. Cracking piece of kit. In terms of the iPod usage, I have a 120GB Classic, and have 3000+ tracks on it, I can find what I want relatively quickly, if you know who you're looking for it's a piece of cake.

The other great thing is the 6 preset buttons under the display, act as "jump tos" so say you're looking for an artist, preset 1 takes you to around the E part of your artists, 2 would take you to H part of artists and so on and so on.

It's also rated as Full Speed so you pick a song, it literally comes on as soon as you press the button :)
