Title: cam question
Post by: Mrpug on 28 December 2006, 03:17
Ive been seeing on occation people using two exhaust cams. What is the reason for this? I know that bigger cams mean more power and all. Does the exhaust cam have this feature and if so what differences can one expect?

Exhaust cam is slightly larger. All it does is keep the inlet valves open longer so you get more air/fuel in the cylinder before combustion. Hence a bit more power.
