“We Connect” App

While updating my details to note a change of e mail address I mistakenly deleted myself as the main user.
In trying to reverse the action I added myself as an additional user.
Does anyone know how I reinstate myself as the main user?
(Unfortunately, not every VW owner is a digital native!).

App for your phone that lets you look at data VW capture from a car with a built in data connection (late Mkl7.5's and Mk8's).

Shows you where your car is on a map, shows driving data like mpg, fuel remaining, next service etc.

Its not exactly brilliant really...

Dealer gave me a We Connect data plug when I took delivery of my car up last year. I’ve never used it; I’m not at that stage (yet! ) that I forget where I’ve parked my car, I know when the next service is due and I’m not particularly bothered about the mpg. Fuel gauge on the car’s instrument display shows me how much fuel is remaining .

These replies summarise it perfectly.
I have managed to recover myself as main user now!
The most impressive feature operated last time I set the alarm off by mistake.
I immediately got text advising me that movement has been detected by my car.
Might be handy if the bad boys are around but I am out of earshot. No?

Thinking about this again, it’s not just “find my car in a festival car park” that is useful but the App and connectivity is in effect a security tracker…..a bit like “find my iPhone” when it’s nicked.
So maybe if more use than duplicating info already available.

If you use Apple Car play and connect your phone to the car with it, your Iphone will tell you where your car is parked - it saves the position when you disconnect from CarPlay.

Makes the ropey VW POS redundant!

I have a love/hate relationship with WeConnect, handy for telling me if the car is locked, apart from that it’s clunky and unreliable. My tracker and immobiliser information is much more informative and reliable.

Mmmm.
My experience of We Connect and its features is quite different. As I said I like it and especially the txt and e mail warning that the alarm has been triggered.
Can’t really understand the antipathy towards this feature of ownership.
Anyway, I will leave this topic now I have sorted my initial IT mistake.
