Contact Pictures

So I have tried assigning pictures to my contacts and no luck. On another forum someone said that email addresses and other information can confuse the system to put a picture against a contact I only had a number for and still no luck.

If anyone has any more info that would be grand!!!

Rather than start a new topic, has anyone managed to have the contact pictures showing while using an iPhone?
They show fine on my car with a Samsung Galaxy but with my wife's iPhone I can't get the contact pictures to show.
Is it a definite no?

@Remlapeel is it an iphone you have and did the pictures just show automatically?

On a similar note I see the car will display and read your text messages as long as its not an iPhone you have

I've had no luck in showing contact pics.

 It does show & read out texts .

It's not the car that can't get the information from the phone it's the phone not releasing the information to the car.

Apple don't allow this to happen.

Got my MK7 GTD on 1st March and I have just switched from an iPhone to a Galaxy S7 and my contact pictures have pulled through onto my display!

I was just thinking the same thing.
Is it not along the lines of RSAP? Which Apple don't allow.
Although it still doesn't explain @Remlapeel getting contact pictures on his iPhone!

I have the Android and get them no problem.
Without, the phone screen just looks so bare!

Mine (Pro Nav) doesn't display contact pics with iPhone 6 Plus either.  It does show contact pics in App-connect (CarPlay) plus reads out texts.
