You're lucky if you've just purchased from a dealer as they'll cover it. Seems to be bit of an issue, had mine done locally for about £500 including the water pump (which was fine but it's part of the same housing so might as well have it replaced at the same time).

The centre resonator delete looks interesting.From the ebay listing:"Please note , this does not fit GTi Performance model , we have a separate listing for this vehicle".I had no idea the GTi PP had a different exhaust system?
This is the one I'm looking at progressiveparts.com/vagsport-vw-golf-mk7-gti-clubsport-s-resonator-delete-pipe-kit says no difference between non pp and pp.
