is ther a way of geting a bigger faster more powerefull heater in my mk1 as the little mose in mine seams old and dont work as fast as moddern cars thse days .and also the side bloweres the 1 you can turn off and on by hand are always really cold

Dont know if you can swap one in, I guess anything is possible. As for the side blowers (the ones you can turn off) , they are a cold feed only so will only blow cold no matter where your heater control is.

You could try replacing the thermostat valvel?
It's only a couple of quid and after I replaced mine the car heated up a treat. Turns out the thing was stuck closed and constantly cooling the water.
Worth a try?
