The R is alot newer than the S3, so the new S3 will come out first and then the R will be based on it again. Simples.

Or the S3 will come out first, then once all the niggles have been sorted the R will be released as the perfected iversion. 

And then Audi will get their pants in a twist that the R is a better car than the S3 and release a new RS3 just so they can be the attention grabbing hot hatch makers that they secretly are.

if you do a search on the net you may find the r is actually suffering a lot more faults than the s 3 because of the.new heldex systems failing....

I know the old TT was a dressed up golf. But the new TT is not.

I’ve loved the TT’s ever since they first came out. I’ve always fancied buying one but as a modern family man I need boot space and 5 seats. Maybe one day.

I test drove the current TT before going for the GTI. It's a great car but like you I prefer having the space for when I need it, plus the TT felt a bit postbox like. Suppose that's just coupe for you.

Yeah mine has f**ked up twice since I had it in November,
 1st time I had no 4wheel drive just front wheel for like a day and it just started working again

2nd time last night it happen when somehow the car stalled whilst reversing even though its DSG, This happened at very low revs, Then it started back up with only front wheel drive. Stopped for 10min restarted car and its working again :S
 Trip to dealers I think

I cant see many looking at the new S3 it looks like an ugly big sister version of the A1... and lets face it the A1 isnt exactly a looker
