Title: GTECHNIQ C4 PERMANENT TRIM RESTORER
Post by: Schuey on 28 December 2012, 08:21
Has anybody used GTech C4 on their MK6?

I want to do the rear diffuser, side skirts/trims and the mudflaps

As its permanent/semi permanent I would like to know of any experiences people may have had.

Thanks

Semi perm for me personaly. You need to degrease the plastics before you apply. I also find it to out do carpro DLUX on very badly faded plastics.

Thanks, I was going to use neat APC and a brush, I guess that should clean it up enough?

I did find someone on here did their MK3 and it looked pretty good so I have ordered some today.

Pretty much. I also used some panel wipe and then C4.

This is Gtec (http://i716.photobucket.com/albums/ww170/golfgti_photos/IMG_2132_zps50659981.jpg).

You can definitely notice the difference, I really hope it lasts and keeps its sheen as I hate it when after a few days all other stuff I have used goes grey/white, especially with all the rain we're having.

I will get some before and after pics as soon as possible.

I've used it on mine, did all the lower plastics and the window surround rubbers, it gives a nice natural finish which i like and seems to be lasting (couple of months), i used a little IPA before applying it.

PS a little goes a very very very long way!!
