Night time stealth mode
« on: 05 October 2023, 20:10 »
Folks

Does the Mk8 have the ability to turn the infotainment screen off and mood lighting whilst still keeping the audio on please?  It's a 2023 Clubby if that helps.

I've looked at all settings I can see and cannot find the answer to this.

On my car (a FFRR) I can program a haptic button that when used turns the screen off and all the mood lighting.  The audio stays working but with the screen black.  If I want it back on I just touch the infotainment screen.

Many thanks

Sidders

Having had my 21 Clubby from new I'm not aware of this being possible.  If you want music you have to have the screen on as far as I know.   No doubt someone will have found a way to do it now (probably using an OBD11 Coder!)

Thanks for the swift response!   Looks like the bride is just going to have to cope with it……….

No, VW omitted the "dogging mode".

Best bet is to set it up for "night mode" with all of the lighting set to dark red. That way when you look through the periscope its easier to see targets at night.
