New version of maps now available if anyone still bothers !

Looks like the update date was for the 21st (June) so that's newer than my version from several months ago.

I'll do the update to my SD card later once I'm home.

Downloading now, even though I mostly use Waze I like the car to be up to date...  :cool:

no new maps for my discover media ...still 2020/11/23 release ... on pro have already  2021/06/21.. any idea, when they will launch new maps for discover care?

Looks like I'm on v13 and this new update goes to v14.7.

Yes it can be slow and make sure you have loads of free space on your HD to make backups while doing the copying.

Just seen Discover Care, isn't that just a way of automating the download if it detects and update?  You can still do the same thing manually.

OK there maybe a problem with upgrading to v14.7 from v13.

You need to check your SD card size, the new version is 16.34 GB and the standard VW card that came with my car is only 16GB, v13 just scraps in at 15.49GB.

As has been highlighted before unfortunately I could only get the upgrades to work using the VW card that came with my car rather than a third party card.

What do others think about asking dealers to see if they have any bigger cards that might give out FoC, effectively the maps are only going to get bigger so I really need a 32GB otherwise I'm going to be stuck on v13 unless I go to map option 2 which should be smaller as it has less countries listed.

Maybe they'll have a few spare now the MK8 has done away with the SD cards for satnav.
