Thing for me now is that because I have everything else for it, I may as well go for the 20v. A friend has done a TDI conversion on his rado from a B4 Passat and happily trundles around at 65+ mpg but he admits it's slooooow  :sad:

Modern ones are good but I always feel that they run out of steam early on  :undecided:

Little bit of an interim update while I search for a decent engine  :rolleyes:

New wipers.......



A pair of drivers side TT wiper arms & blades, work sooooooo much better than the originals (these actually touch the screen)  :cool:

I reckon the right mix of wipers could be made to work on the Mk1 mate  :cool:

Just like how flush they sit with being mounted at the side of the wiper rather than above... looks ace, may have to have a play one day.  Quite happy with mine even though they look a little out of place, aero wipers on standard arms. look a bit too modern.
