Well, the wheels were taken this morning at 7.20 and returned to me and fitted back on the car by 4.30pm 

Much better this time  you can see how deep the finish looks  (you have to ask the question as why it wasn't done like this the first time  ) .

Ordered a replacement rear badge and grill badge and the decision is to be Cream coloured and future plans will be Cream leather interior (I'll keep you posted about the offered one Leeroy  )

Well, had a good session on the car today. First off I painted all the bolt heads on the newly refurbed wheels, only took 20mins per wheel 

                             

Then the Lamin-X film arrived  As I've bought headlight protectors I thought I'd get something for the fogs and indicators 

The front looked like this to begin with......................

                             

And now it looks like this.................

                             

The fogs are very much now "Chuffesque" 

I have two sets of protectors for the headlights, clear for normal use and these light smoked ones for days as nice as today 

So thats where I'm up to so far..........off to Dubfreeze tomorrow so I guess the wallet will take a battering

£780?  You could probably get the cloth interior retrimmed in cream leather for less.

no chance, not for a decent job anyhow

Funny you should say that Mate.

Just been looking at the pictures taken today and although it's down 40mm it looks nose high 

Pennies are now to be saved and then it'll be coilover time

Bit of a boring update.........

As I mentioned before, replacement badges were purchased for colouring. So off I went yesterday to find some cream paint to match the vinyl and wheel colour. This took me to Halfords  , which to my surprise, were very helpful and got me a near as damn it match for the cream.

So after some priming, painting, laquering and then going round with the artist brushes. The badge now has gone from a scruffy old badge to the one on the right.



And this shows the colour match that Halfords managed 



Not started the rear badge yet but by the end of next week it should be done and on

Hmmmmm....................just been offered some FK coilovers.

Anyone got these or know what they're like??

Not sure exactly which type yet. Just wondering in general how they were regarded.....ride quality, build etc.

I've only heard good things about FKs. I know people with the basic FK kit Like anything the ride is harsh when it's wound down to the last, but the other 99% of the time they are great

Cheers for that Jimp  . I've mailed the guy to let me know which type they are and hopefully some pictures of them.

I suppose as long as they're in good nick and not too old I guess the next thing to do to the C will be get these on to lower the front a bit more
